Comrade Shedrack Onitsha was born on October 10th, 1971. He went to Udodi Primary School Abbi, Abbi Grammar School, Abbi and Ibru College, Agbarha-Otor, all in Delta State for his primary and secondary school. He proceeded to Institute of Management and Technology, (IMT) Enugu for his higher education, where he studied Mass Communication. He did his mandatory national youth service at Kafur Local Government, Katsina State.
He started his career with Medi-links Services Ltd, Ojota, Lagos, 2003-2006, where he rose to the position for Marketing Manager. He later relocated to Delta in 2008 and joined Niger Delta Standard Newspaper, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, 2008-2009, as their Sapele correspondent and from there to The Urhobo Times Press Ltd. Ughelli, Delta State-2009-2014 as the Editor. He currently works with Advocate Newspaper, Ughelli, Delta State, as the Editor-in-Chief and the Publisher.
He also holds a Masters Degree in Media Arts and Communication from the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State.
Outside journalism which is his passion, he was also Director of program of Nigeria Junior Chamber & Junior Chamber International Enugu in 2002, (A Worldwide Business and Leadership Development Organization) and also Secretary General, Human Care International, an (NGO) based in Lagos. Currently he is the Media Manager, Felix Anirah Foundation, Sapele, Delta State.
Comrade Onitsha a devoted Christian is married and he is blessed with three sons, believes that service to humanity is the best service we can give to God.
