Rotarian Tony Uba: Coordinator

Born in July, 1962 to Late Mr.  & Mrs. Tony Uba (Snr.) from Ndokwa – West and Uvwie L.G.A both of Delta State. He had his Primary Education at St’ Thomas Primary School, Benin City, Baptist High School Oghareki, College of Education Abraka, University of Port – Harcourt and Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) Jaji.

As a trained teacher, he taught several years in many schools within Edo and Delta States. Currently he is the Principal of Eziafa Grammar School, Sapele as Principal Merit Grade. He is happily married with children.

He joined the Rotary family in 1986 in Benin City and today, he is the President of Rotary Club of Sapele Metropolitan. He is a great lover of service; he joined the oldest club in Africa – Sapele Athletic Club in 2009. In 2013 he was elected and served as the club’s Membership Secretary and Bar Secretary 2014 – 2015. He is also the current Secretary of both the Badminton and Keep – Fit sections of the club.

As a Unionist, he contested and won elections as 3rd, 2nd, and 1st Vice – Chairman from 2001 – 2009 and later as Deputy Chairman between 2009 – 2011. He is the current chairman of Sapele Teachers Welfare, Member – Sapele Local Government Education Authority and Secretary – All Nigeria Confederation of Principals (ANCOPSS) Sapele L.G.A.

He was invited by the President/CEO Felix Anirah Foundation, Chief (Hon) Felix Anirah in 2016 to join in the setting up of the foundation. His rear quality service to humanity made the President to appoint him the foundation’s coordinator. A position with much challenges and he his putting in his best to seeing the foundation grow rapidly.

In the religious sector, he is a Catholic by faith and at several times serve as Secretary, Vice – Chairman Harvest Committee of St’ Patrick Catholic Church, Sapele.

This amiable man enjoys, among others travelling and making friends. He is a disciplinarian who enjoy watching football and listening to local and international news.
